​I’m a person with a positive outlook on life, always looking for the bright side of a situation. I live in Harrogate and have been here for over 20 years. Originally, I am from the North East of England. I enjoy travel and lived in the USA for two years. I have been on many trips with my family, from the major cities in Europe to Uganda and lots of places in between! Meeting new people and getting to know them is something I really enjoy doing.

Before training to become a celebrant with FPC, I was a primary school teacher. It gave me a whole host of qualities and skills which are uesful in my current role – the ability to think on my feet, flexibility, a love of working with people (both little and big!) and a good understanding of the English language. I love words.

In my spare time I love to be with my family and friends, both near and far. My husband, daughter and I enjoy family dog walks together with our black labrador, Roxy.

I also play golf and have been a keen golfer for over 12 years. I play Padel tennis too, so keeping fit and healthy is high on the list of things I enjoy doing.

I also love cooking and listening to music, almost always at the same time.

​​A romantic at heart, I love books and films with a happy ever after. I also love to laugh – I have a good sense of humour and love nothing more than a good giggle with the girls over a glass of wine.
